The Korean Immigrant Experience: from Korea to California
This project began as a way to investigate and record my own family's history, but I hope that it is able to grow beyond just my family and allow other immigrants to feel seen and heard through certain aspects of this personal story.
I focused on the journey of my father, Charles Song as I felt his story had a unique perspective, being the only son who deviated from the family's strong commitment to Christianity.

Compilation of Family Photos
Many of my family's photos were lost during the Korean War, as they had to flee their homes and relocate several times. When they moved to the United States, they also moved around quite a bit, losing tangible memorabilia like photographs often. Fortunately for me, someone had uploaded all three brothers high school yearbook to an online archive so I was able to find quite a bit of visual material there.
