Project Background

This video was created as a tutorial for a game project, Stepping Stones, for the Computer Science department at Tufts University. The two sponsors of the project created the idea for the game over 40 years ago when they were in high school! The goal of this video was to teach anyone how to play in a few minutes, and thus increase playership overall.

Process & Visual Concept

Production & Styling

I created a miniature version of the game and game pieces, then shot the gameplay footage using a downshooter setup.

I wanted the visuals of the videos to be a part of the "Stepping Stones" world: retro, colorful, pixel-based, fantasy aesthetic.
